What's for dinner?

Today is day 7 of my 10 day chemo/radiation detoxification cleanse.  It’s an important step to support my healing.  This is being supervised by Dr. Kanodia, my Integrative Specialist.

All possible toxic substances have been eliminated: sugar, sugar substitutes, fried foods, gluten, wheat, dairy, alcohol.  Along with chemicals in shampoo, soap, perfume, deodorant, dry cleaning, cleaning products and the list goes on, I can’t remember everything else.

The way this works is I start off every day on an empty stomach with 2 teaspoons of celtic sea salt dissolved into one quart of warm water.  Then I move on to several glasses of homemade vegetable juice diluted 50-50 with water that I drink throughout the day and evening.

So far I haven’t been too hungry (except when The Former Boyfriend is eating cashews and drinking wine in front of me) and my energy has stayed pretty good.  I finish up on the 10th and go back to see Dr. Kanodia on the 11th.

The toxic stuff is gone forever, but starting on the 11th I’ll work my way back to eating only very healthy foods and I can’t wait.

We hope everybody had a great 4th and we’ll see a lot of you at the end of the month pool party.
