Nothing medical at all this week.......WOW

Just a quick post this week.  We didn't have any doctor appointments. No tests. No treatments. No needles. No irradiation. No chemo. No poking or prodding or deep breath please. None of the sickening smell of alcohol wipes.  We just got to enjoy a beautiful fall week. Hope you did too. Of course Johnny continues to cheer on and curse the Indians.  We’ll see what this week brings.  We love you all and GO TRIBE!

Don't just take it

A great weekend last weekend as the Former Boyfriend and I headed to Lake Hope for a beautiful anniversary weekend in the woods. But reality was right on the tail of our weekend with Johnny in for chemotherapy this week. The staff at the center seemed more prepared than the last time. But of course at the end there was another logistical screw up that gave us an hour delay in getting out of there.  So we made sure to let the administrator know about the frustrations. We're never loud or rude about it. Quite businesslike in fact. But more people need to do this with big medicine and we've seen far too many people just seem almost too intimidated to complain. So speak up or you're getting what they're serving.

The good news is that after a couple of rough days, Johnny’s back to his old self and gushing with delight that his beloved Indians are headed to the World Series! His CEA has been rising a bit, so it’s time to be even more vigilant with everything we are doing.  But we’re both feeling fine and looking forward to Tuesday.  So for now we thank everyone of you and wish you a wonderful weekend!

Anniversary weekend

Our anniversary- technically tomorrow-is getting underway today.  We’ve been through quite a bit together, most of it has been wonderful, but as with every couple we’ve had our challenges-especially the past three years.  Luckily for us, our marriage has only grown stronger and we’re turning the entire weekend into our celebration.
We’ve both had good medical reports this month and we both feel great.  You can’t ask for more.  Thanks to all of you who encourage us continuously.
Happy Anniversary Baby! I love you.
