a fun road trip, then back to reality.

Last week we were off to Virginia, to attend the wedding of the Former Boyfriends nephew. Mike and Rachel decided on an outdoor wedding. Well their gamble paid off. There was just a hint of humidity, which is saying something in coastal Virginia. And there was a nice breeze. The ceremony and reception were held in the front yard of Mike's parents home. (yes, it's a very large yard) For the most part we held to our diet. But yes we did do a couple calculated cheats. Now, the bride and groom are honeymooning in Hawaii, while the rest of us get back to reality.

In a previous post we mentioned that Johnny had passed on his most recently scheduled round of chemotherapy, since he'd be trying to bounce back on  the holiday weekend (his birthday) and then staring at the ride to Virginia the following weekend. Monday, however, he was out of excuses and received what is his tenth round of chemo. It'll now be the latter part of July before he's scanned again. But the CEA blood test continues to be encouraging. The last two were 3.6 and now down to 3.3. This is from a starting point of 79. Zero to 3 is considered normal for a non smoker! But we don't get too excited, since this test is just an indicator, not an end all be all.

So anyway, a couple pics from the wedding. Everyone have a nice weekend. We love you all.
