Lots of fun this week

It’s another edition of Photo Friday!  Here’s a little recap of this week.  Saturday was the Rolling Stones concert.  There were storms everywhere but it remained dry in the Horseshoe. YEAH!!!  We skipped the expensive shirts sporting the famous tongue and lips not to mention the $8 beers.

Kid Rock opened.  Neither one of us would consider ourselves fans of his. But we agreed Kid put on quite a show. And for those who like his music we’re sure they were not disappointed.  But what would Woody think of a guy from Michigan on stage in his beloved Horseshoe….

The Stones opened the show with Jumpin’ Jack Flash, and Mick worked the stage running, jumping and shakin’ his booty like he did in the 60’s.  Not many guys 71 years old can get away with a see-through shirt. They played to the crowd…Mick asked, “This is the stadium of Champions isn’t it?”  They played Hang On Sloopy complete with a buckeye covered tongue logo and I was excited that they played two of my favorites: Paint it Black and Wild Horses.

Keith took center stage and sang/played Before They Make Me Run and Happy. The Band continued with hit after hit proving they are the living legends of Rock and Roll.  It turned out to be a great night.

And then on Sunday we spent time with our friends Paul and Darlene and their family.  Paul is one of my oldest and dearest friends.  When I met Paul he was a senior in high school washing dishes.  Today Paul and Darlene are the very proud parents of seven, yes seven children.  Deanna and Joel two of their kids participated in a dance recital and Johnny and I watched then perform.  Deanna is considering dance as a college major and Joel is just a little guy having  a lot of fun.

Johnny and I both had appointments with Dr. Kanodia on Tuesday.  Diets and supplements are continually being refined based on blood work –Dr. Kanodia loves lots of blood work.  Johnny’s a little bummed with his new restrictions but we’re both doing well and wish everyone an awesome, butt-kickin’ weekend.

If I look hard enough into the setting sun
My love will laugh with me before the morning comes
