The big news is my hCG test results are in. I have gone
from 52.6 IU to 52.2 IU. I use this
number to look for a trend. I need to
remain stable or ideally have the number decrease over time.
0 Negative
1 – 49 Doubtful
50 – 400 Faintly Positive (This is the same
hormone they use to check for pregnancy.
Can you be “Faintly Pregnant?)
401 – 999 Definitely Positive
10,000 OMG! Yes, some cancers cause
numbers this high and higher
In a perfect
world I will get my number under 49. But
from the research I’ve done I need to expect a first test result after being
diagnosed with cancer between 50 and 70 IU.
The most essential number is my second test result (52.2) and for now it
seems the hard work Johnny and I have done is paying off. Some cancer patients plateau above 50 with no
active cancer it’s just a residual level of hCG. What we will see from here (hopefully) is a
very gradual decline in tenths. I’ll
continue to repeat this test about every 8 weeks to monitor my progress. This allows me to add or change my cancer
protocol if I need to. Thanks for all
the prayers.
And a Big
Birthday Wish to the Former Boyfriend!
Happy Birthday Baby! You deserve
every happiness there is on this earth.
I never ever would have made it through the past two years without
you. Let’s hope Mick and the Boys put on
a great show this weekend at the ‘shoe to help us celebrate. Thanks for reading – we love you all.
It's only rock & roll, but I like it |
