So things have been really uneventful and that’s
good news. Jeannie worked her normal hours Tuesday and Wednesday. Last night
(her late night) she had dinner ready in advance so that when she ran after work
errands all she to do was some heat and serve when I came in from yard chores.
Today she picked up some of her favorite ice cream, was going to make a big
salad and have me grill a piece of steak. Except the steak wasn’t cooperating.
It was still frozen by the time I got home. So guess what’s for dinner
tomorrow.
Instead we walked the dogs and discussed where we’d
go for dinner. It came down to Indian or Italian and we were still undecided as
we headed out the door and left a couple surprised dogs in our wake. (okay we
have to try a lot harder than that to surprise them and this was really no
surprise at all).
It was pushing eight when we showed up at Tratroria Roma
and we damn near had the place to ourselves. I’m sure the staff was thrilled.
They’re thinking early night and then we show up. Food and service was awesome.
It was a great night to sit out on their patio and we both brought home a
doggie bag that wasn’t discussed with the resident doggies. The toughest part
of the day was Jeannie coming to the conclusion that Tillie’s career in sheep
herding was going to be placed on hold for the foreseeable future. To most
people it might seem like an easy decision but she says it’s the first time in
this ordeal she’s come to tears. (guess I’m ahead of her in that category).
So in honor of the sheep herding dog, a picture.
Love to read your well written comments. Thinking of you guys always
