Sunday night
we saw Joe Walsh in Dayton. Loved the
venue – a new place The Rose Music Center.
It was great to see Joe along with legends Waddy Wachtel and Joe Vitale
ripping it out. They’re like wine they
just get better with age. It was a good
mix of James Gang, Eagles and some of Joe’s solo stuff with a surprise song –Everyday
People. When it was time for the James Gang portion of the show Joe joked with
the crowd that if they were too young or didn’t recognize the songs – not to
worry, “Your parents loved these songs.”
Joe
dedicated the song Take it to the Limit
to his “Band mate and Brother” Glenn Frey. Back-up singer Rick Washington took lead on
the vocals and as they say – brought the house down. What a powerful voice and performance. Rick’s vocals had Johnny and I blinking back
tears. Many in the audience were
sobbing. It was a very moving part of
the show. If Joe is performing anywhere
close to you…we encourage you to check him out.
As for us,
this week was good. Brian and Mary Jo
will be here soon. And next week will be
another round of chemo. Please keep us
in your prayers.
