It was good to be home for Easter spending time with Mary Jo
and Brian toddling around town – going into the city and walking through a
local park, the weather was perfect!
The past week was one of the most challenging that Johnny
has had since he started chemotherapy. He
really felt his energy level take a hit during the latest chemotherapy infusion.
He was dragging for a few days, but with hyperbaric oxygen therapy, sunshine,
and the weekend coming he’s returning the Johnny we all know and love.
Most of my time lately has gone into researching 3-BP or
3-bromopyruvate. There are some current trials/treatment protocols available. I have made calls and sent emails to gather
more information. I believe this could
be something very special in Johnny’s cancer treatment.
Cancer obtains much
of its adenosine triphosphate (ATP – or cellular energy) by the metabolism of
glucose into lactic acid. Drs.Young Hee Ko, PhD. of KoDiscovery and Peter Petersen
PhD of Johns Hopkins discovered that 3BP was cancer’s Achilles heel. 3BP mimics lactic acid enabling it to migrate
across the cancer cell wall which is otherwise impenetrable. This cuts off the
cancer cells ability to produce energy and also its ability to replicate. All without the horrific side effects of the
current chemotherapy regime Johnny is on.
There is no money to be made from this treatment. 3BP is a chemical that can be purchased from
any chemical supply company over the counter and it is not expensive. Dr. Ko’s protocol is what makes 3BP
effective. For Drs. Ko and Petersen
there will no fortune (but hopefully a Noble Prize) only the satisfaction of
knowing that they can save untold lives.
There is a go fund me page to support and further their
research. https://www.gofundme.com/9svgbdys-utm_sourc
. It has been set up by Geoff Taylor of
Winnipeg, Manitoba. He lost his beloved wife to ovarian cancer recently and in her honor set up this go fund me page to
further Dr. Ko’s research. Johnny and I
will be donating to further this research and ask that if you find it in your
hearts please donate and also please forward the link. Cancer touches everyone in some way.
Many thanks as always
to everyone who supports us with texts, emails, calls, etc. These days of uncertainty can be difficult
for me. I like having a plan. We have a short term one and I am, as always,
moving forward. Have a great weekend.
