The
intensity of chemo drugs can be overwhelming.
Even before they start chemo you’re shot up with steroids and
anti-nausea medications. They all kinda
rush to your head – like a bad drug trip or way too much alcohol. When I
received chemo I was so foggy and sleepy that books and reading materials were
pretty much useless. I usually
napped. But Johnny is able to read and
surf the web on his phone during treatments. Everyone is different and so far
he’s been pretty resilient. A little
tummy distress- but even that hasn’t been too bad. Monday he goes for more.
After these next three treatments Johnny will have another scan. Please pray with us that it will be clear. Most
likely he will continue indefinitely with the bi-monthly chemo treatments. We’ll know a lot more after the scan.
But he’s
still feeling strong, determined and positive.
He continues to work six days per week.
And it’s so much easier to feel this way with all the amazing support we
have. We’ve had calls from as far away
as Australia, cards in the mail and everyday text messages. We are so touched. We have a big support group for real. So thank you all for helping us get through
this. You keep us strong centered and
