Tetrahydrocannabinol
(THC). Some things that are old are new
again and this time they are legal. In
search of better living through science we have found cannabidiol (CBD). It’s is a part of the cannabis (marijuana)
plant that has medical properties without the buzz (THC). Why use a bunch of CBD without the fun psychoactive
high from the marijuana days? There’s a lot of science I won’t get into (over
20,000 articles), but the bottom line is CBD has really strong anti-oxidant and
anti-inflammatory properties. Not only
that, CBD also contains hormone and metabolism-balancing properties. This isn’t some woo-woo science, I as
mentioned, there are numerous peer-reviewed articles in PubMed that document
these results. It is not addictive,
unsafe or illegal.
Now I’m not
making a sales pitch, I am just bringing this up because CBD is also effective
in controlling nausea and pain. Two
things the Former Boyfriend has been dealing with lately. And it doesn't have the side effects of medications that have been prescribed. For that matter, most pain relievers are strictly off limits for Johnny. The exception is Tylenol. But acetaminophen is hard on the liver. So why go there? Thank you Google- what did we do without you.
As for me,
Johnny reminded and congratulated me. It was two years ago this week I came
home from my last Proton treatment in Chicago.
We’ve been blessed that I’ve only been back for check-ups since.
