Back to enjoying every minute- it was a special weekend having
Mary Jo and Brian with us. Brian is a
master electrician who kept busy helping Johnny with several neglected projects
around the house. We capped off the
weekend with dinner at Anna’s (a local Greek restaurant) followed by an 18 year
old bottle of Brown Brothers Cabernet Sauvignon sent to us by our friends in
Australia. Definitely not on the
approved diet, and Johnny and I had only a little taste, but it was amazingly
wonderful.
This weekend will be filled with family once again. We’re looking forward to attending the
wedding of Tia and Zack. My cousin Thom
knows how to throw a lights-out party and the wedding of his youngest daughter
will be a very special event. We can’t
wait to see all of you who will be there!
On the medical front, I switched blood thinners. My
Oncologist originally put me on Xeralto.
That medication left me so exhausted that I could barely get out of
bed. She switched me to Eliquis and I’m
on a lower dose so I’ve been feeling much more like myself. Dr. Knoble reviewed my latest batch of
testing and the good news is that the tests did not reveal any new metastasis
sites. Dr. Knoble is ready to pull out
her bags toxic poison but I’m not making any further treatment plans until my upcoming
appointment with Dr. Eric Serrano. Johnny attended my appointments, but he was
free of doctor visits for himself.
We wish all of you a special 4th and a great
weekend.
